How does StackGen price Aiden for Infrastructure?
StackGen charges based on the number of resources under management (RUM) across your environments. Our infrastructure solution delivers two core value propositions: infrastructure standardization and AI-powered infrastructure self-service. Pricing scales with the total resource count deployed across all your environments — whether those are dev, staging, and production, or spread across multiple regions.
How are resources counted across environments?
Each environment deployment counts separately. For example, if you have 100 resources in your Terraform modules and deploy an AppStack to both staging and production in one region, your total RUM count is 200. If you then deploy production to a second region for redundancy while keeping staging in one region, production counts as 200 (2 regions × 100) and staging as 100, for a total of 300 RUM.
What counts as a "resource" for pricing purposes?
StackGen uses the Terraform resource block as the unit of measurement. Each resource block defined in the generated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for your AppStack counts as one resource under management.
How can I determine my resource count?
StackGen generates IaC for each AppStack. You can download the generated Terraform code and count the resource blocks to determine your total. You can also use an AI coding assistant to quickly tally the resource blocks in your generated IaC.
Does the same resource counting apply to Aiden's AI self-service capabilities?
Yes. Resources provisioned through Aiden's infrastructure self-service are counted the same way — based on the Terraform resource blocks in the generated IaC. The same pricing model applies whether you're using StackGen for infrastructure standardization or AI-powered self-service.
